Activism

Becoming active in a local community and in government benefits everyone.

• An activist is aware of what is happening in the community.

•Activism centers on the common good.

•Activists vote. They hold elected officials accountable.

•Activists learn how government works and become clear critical thinkers. They evaluate the words of paid political commentators.

•Activists promote a safe and healthy America.

More thoughts on Activism... Ben Franklin is often quoted as saying, "We have given you a democratic republic; it is up to you to keep it." Activism upholds the rights of citizens. It respects our country, our leaders, our constitution, and each other. It recognizes that national pride is important, but not blind. Activism relies on quality news reporting about our government, elected officials and corporate activities.  Activism is a healthy responsibility when directed towards peace and harmony among people.
